His tone is a bit better, though still a bit mid-scooped for my tastes. Still, it's a good move on his part, and now EB has to release that 6 string Bongo! |

The only reason that he's been seen with his Yamaha recently is that he hadn't received the Bongo 6 prototype yet.
It's kind of a bummer, 'cos I just bought an RBX JM2 back in February, now it's already going to be outdated. |

BTW, when Dream Theater's guitarist, John Petrucci, does solo work, Dave LaRue plays bass and has awesome tone. He also uses Bongos (Bongoes?). Maybe this had a little influence on Myung.

| | | | In addition he used a stingray during DT's early years in the 80's and on their debut When Dream And Day Unite. It's hardly a new thing for him to be using MM basses.
But I guess it would be news that he is officially endorsing them now. |

| | | | Also, in various making of videos for Dream Theater albums when Myung's basses are shown sometimes there is some sort of MM, but I can't remember which ones off hand. |

Not only the best bass I've ever heard being played, but I... HEARD IT BEING PLAYED!
He sounds beautiful. |

I've never understood it. Oh well, he hits the strings hard enough. When they play Wembley I plan to be at the front and hopefully in front of JM — maybe I'll be able to hear the clacking :P
