Did he ever play in other bands?

I am a big fan of him, David W. Sims, and the like.

Dunno, but since I play with drummer Rock Savage every week, I could ask him.

You got to do more than just ask him my question, you need to tell him to reunite Barkmarket. At least for another hometown show.

Looked up your band Debris. They sound interesting, but there was nothing listenable on this site, and there are 195 bands called Debris on Myspace. Any recordings online?

Man, Barkmarket were absolutely great. I really dug the L. Ron record. Pretty crazy Dave Sardy's now a bigtime producer.

Yes PLEASE ask Rock if there's any chance we could see BARKMARKET reunite for a hometown show! Saw them open for the Pixies at the Ritz way back and then saw them every chance I could after.

Well, I'll ask Rock about the possibility of a reunion, but I suspect I know the answer. Based on some conversations about the band I get the impression there's just enough acrimony -- not a lot, but just enough -- between certain members that there just wouldn't be enough interest.

What the hell, I'll ask.

And yeah, sucks about all the other bands calling themselves "Debris" though, fwiw, we were formed in 1986 so we probably predate 99% of them. (MySpace? Hell, that's a young person's gig!) You could try the Music & Arts of America or Rastascan Records websites for online audio clips.

I always thought the band broke up because Dave Sardy dedicated himself to production.

Considering that was my original question, yes, he should find out!

Barkmarket was never big enough to merit a full on reunion, but even bands like Scratch Acid have reunited for a one-off.
