This just came across the wire

Tickle Me Pink bassist Johnny Schou was found dead at his Colorado home Tuesday morning, the same day his band's debut album was released, according to Tickle Me Pink's label, Wind-Up Records. He was 22.

The band was planning to celebrate the release of 'Madeline' Tuesday with an in-store appearance in Denver. "Further information regarding the band's plans, and dates that have been previously announced, will be forthcoming in due time," a statement from Wind-Up read.

The cause of death is currently unknown.

OMG -- I just heard about this.

I was Johnny's guitar teacher way back when in Fort Collins.

He was a bright kid with a love for all things musicial.

I eventually got to work with him at The Blasting Room -- a premier recording facility in Fort Collins.

I told him I was very proud of him for coming along so far and for developing his ear as a producer and as a musician.

My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I have no idea who he (or his band) is but that is way too young. My heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.

RIP

So young ...

we all have to go eventually, but no one should go this early in life. Very sad.
