John Wetton - News Scare

I recently saw Asia at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. (June 26th) and everyone in my party was commenting on John's physique and that he could very well be a candidate for heart trouble. He did appear to have gained quite a bit of weight in the chest/belly area.

He sounded fine singing - although I must say his bass playing seemed a bit lazy that night. He was, however, a VERY big influence on me early on, w/Crimson and UK, even later, for that matter w/Steve Hackett, solo stuff and Asia.

I hope he caught it before something irreversible may have taken place and hope for a speedy recovery for him as well as avoiding any near future health problems!

I wish John Wetton the best! I'm not much for Asia, but his tuff with UK and King Crimson is unreal!

I wouldn't have either. Glad to see he's doing well and dropped that weight.
