I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.
To metal bassist...
Do you think the bassist from Avenged Sevenfold, Johnny Christ, is a good bassist or not??
I have heard many people saying he is not that good while some are saying he is good..what are your opinions?  |

| | | | IMHO, nothing about A7X is good. I don't think anyone (besides the Rev, though he is now dead) is all that great in the band.

Nothing hes playing is particularly complicated but it fits the songs. I'd like to hear him in a different context before I'd say whether hes actually good or bad in A7X there isn't really enough room for him to really stretch out. That band is almost exclusively about the guitars and unison riffing from most of their stuff I've heard. Thats my opinion though. |

He sounds like a metal brittany spears like hes singing through his nose. I want to punch him in the throat so bad every time I hear them.

He does that weird nasally thing a lot, which I'm not a HUGE fan of, but his more melodic, operatic style is very cool imo.
