While I appreciate that Tori Amos is not everyone's cup of tea, the tone bassist Jon Evans has in this performance really speaks to me. Enjoy.

Great bassist with a great tone. Two shows to seek out for fans of "Tori + Band" from the late '90s are "VH-1 Storytellers" and PBS' "Sessions at West 54th" - the version of Father Lucifer from "Storytellers" with Jon playing a fretless P is the definitive version of that song for me.

Is that P a 4 or 5...those are some low notes for a 4.

I'm pretty sure it was a 4 strung BEAD with a Hipshot to reach the low A heard in the song, but I haven't pulled out my tape to verify - I mostly just listen to the audio.

Edit: I checked my tape, and it's indeed a well-worn Precision with a J in the bridge, defretted, and strung AEAD.

Can any of the Laklandophiles tell if the bass Jon is playing is a 55-02 or a 55-94?
