Jorgen Carlsson Gov't Mule HELP

Sign in to disble this ad
Just saw him and loved his sound.

Can anyone describe his rig and pedalboard?

It looked like he was blending a clean SVT signal with distortion from a Category 5 head. Is this correct?

Thanks for your help.

I actually worked with The Category 5 guys to help tweak his head, it is based on a Marshall Major. It is LOUD !!!

It has an incredible distortion sound.. Last time I talked to the Cat 5 guys he was using their head and they were going to build him another for clean sound. I guess he's using an SVT for now.

I can honestly say from spending time playing that head, NOTHING sounds like it, no pedal or amp out there that can do what it does... I wanted one for myself, and they said sure $4400 and they would build me one..

Great. Thanks.

Does that Category have a master, because the amp was distorting but it didn't seem like it was deafening.

What speakers are in those Category cabs?

How about his pedal board? Can you suggest a distortion pedal that will get me that sound (ala Jack Bruce) and a listenable level?
