He played Geddy Lee basses for sure, I have a mag that says he had 2 of them.

Quotes from August 2005 Bass Guitar mag (one with Timmy C on the front)

"Fender American series P-Bass with a Jazz neck"
"Alderete uses Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings and orange Dunlop Tortex picks."
"He sometimes rocks a Ampeg 2X15 cabinet"

"Here's a sample of Juan's effects: A/DA flanger; Boss DD-3; two Boss CS-2's; Bass LS-2's; Boss OC-2; early Boss PN-2 Tremolo/Pan pedal; Bass TU-2; Digitech BSW; DigiTech Digital Delay; two digitech Whammy's; Dunlop Bass Wah; 1970's EHX Bass Micro Synth; Ernie Ball Volume Pedal; Fulltone Fuzz; Line 6 DL-4 with expression pedal; Moogerfooger Ring Modulator with expression pedal; 1970's Mutron III and IV; MXR DC Brick; MXR Phase 100: Sovtek Fuzz"

I remember seeing one of Juan's fretless basses for sale on Craigslist a month ago...I cried that I didn'd have the $800 they were asking for. ....because I know that if I could get his bass. I'd be that much closer to playing like him

Yeah, I couldn't really find a good picture of his previous boards, present day boards because he changes them so much. I did the best I could.

Does anyone have any up to date info on his pedalboard? I read somewhere recently he's replaced the OC2 with a MXR bass octave deluxe.
