Fast forward to mid video.
You hear that?
Now THATS what a Jazz bass played with a pick through dual Ampeg SVT/8x10's should sound like!
Jeeze, how I love his tone and Mutron/Wah usage.. The Bedlum in Goliath will be a great album. The 4 songs they've released are awesome, I expect the same from the rest. I've been a Volta fan for a while and this guy never ceases to amaze me.

Sims of The Jesus Lizard...very similar tone. By the way, after spending three days at NAMM and trying many basses, I'm positive the Laklands have much to do with the tonal improvement! |

Also: What the hell is up with all the new TMV videos? They look like home movies on acid. |

Juan's tone is really great. The Lakland suits him very, very well. Did you notice Omar has his own signature Ibanez now? |

I can't sit through Amputechture, and I don't like Cedric's vocals as much as I used to, but this album is refreshing. I love the new drummer! Different style, but he delivers a lot of energy. |

Im not really sure how I feel about their new drummer. I love the sax player but feel he gets lost in the mix as alot of thte other instruments do. Still havent made my mind up about the new sound. |

Juan's tone was great, and his use of effects was cool.
he has a huge pedal board going on.
well, actually every member of that band has a huge pedal board..
Juan and their new drummer were tight, even when the band seemed all over the place they were locked in. |

| | | | I saw Volta couple days ago when they came by Toronto and Juan was using a lakland. He now uses them since they have offered to make him a signature model. I loved his tone on Amputechture with his Fender J though. |

| | | | Just to specify, he was using a white Lakland Daryll Jones signature, it sounded bass ass! |

| | | | Juan is the man. I kept yelling his name during Roulette Dares in Toronto and he looked at me and nodded, haha made my life right there.
I can't wait for the new record, from what i hear his bass is mixed up fairly loudly which is awesome, and as it should be. |
