loudfunk - GREAT list guy!!! Glad to see you included Adam Nitti - got a chance to see him last week at a local MARS. He was playing with with a Jazz fusion trio - he absolutely tore-up his custom curbow 6 string. Very wooten-like, but still a monster in his own right! Anything on his "Liquid Blue" disc will put a smile on your face!

Cant say much more than loudfunk did! Wowzas...

For some more commercial (and not as killer) players:

P-nut (311)
Dirk Lance (Incubus)
Rob DeLeo (STP)
Les Claypool (Primus)
Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
The dude from Days of the New
The dude from Faith No More (very good!)
Rob Merril (i think) of Godsmack isnt too shabby
The guy from Jane's Addiction (old J's A) wrote VERY catchy stuff
Stuart Zender and Nick Fyffe of Jamiroquai
Mike Bradford (great player, though you cant tell by the singles)
Sam Rivers of Limp Biskit is actually quite good, IF you listen to their old stuff
NOT FIELDY!
Dave Ellefson of Megadeth
Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted of Metallica are KILLLLER! (You gotta hear their solos to see why)

I abhor Manson but,"Dope show" is actually a cool song. It reminds me of Dio and the Scorpions with the 4 to the bar feel. <p>
My favorite solo bass artist is Marcus Miller. Expand your mind, Downcaster. Don't just listen to popular music. (Yes, Manson is popular)

My favorite bass players have all been narrowed down to Yngwie Malmsteen. Hes basically the only reason and influence I have on bass. Oh yeah, i also like Marcus Miller..

Edited for: Stupidity, typos, horrible spelling/grammar/punctuation, and shortened for bandwith.

Hey!! No one said Robert Trujillo, formerly of Infectious Grooves!! I love that music...anyone know of any other bands that play in that style?
