I love the Pixies, I would marry Kim Deal if she asked me.

Big Kim Deal fan here. Great player and a big influence in the indie-rock world.

One story I've heard is that she has always insisted on recording all of her bass tracks in one take - no punching in later to correct a mistake. I love that attitude.

Kim Deal is definitely cool, as a bass player, singer, songwriter...

I appreciate how her bass lines really helped create the space for Joey Santiago's crazy surf rock leads and mayhem in the Pixies' music... luckily I got see them live on the reunion tour they did a little while back, they sounded great.

When Kim was starting the Breeders and still going by Mrs. John Murphy she was interested in using a drummer I played with.

She and a couple of other Pixies stopped by a gig we did at the Rat in Boston and at the break she was gushing about how she wished she could play the bass like I did. After hearing her play I could see why

She told me she had removed the Marshall logo from her amp because she was embarassed about using such a "macho" amp

She has her own sound and feel, that's for sure!
