Are there any English speaking fans of the band Kino? I would like to know which basslines are their favourites to play, and also who the bassist was, and any techniques that he used. I'm afariad I know next to nothing about Kino, so anythign anyone could tell me would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Igor Tikhomirov was their bassist from '86 to '90... Aleksander Titov from '83 to '86

There were at least two bands called "Kino", one with the Marillion bassist and one russian band (Kino means cinema in Russian which is probably taken from German language).

Some guys in my band admires Kino (the one with Marillion bassist) and they suggested to cover some of their songs but I'm not very knowledgeable about them.

Thanks for all your replies: it's the Russian Kino that I'm interested in. But thank you for the "Marillion Kino", I'll check them out!

I don't really listen to Kino often. Usually it's just Mumiy Troll or Agata Kristi for me...
