Hey guys, I dunno if there is already a topic about him but seriously Giotis (or Yiotis) Kiourtsoglou is among the best bassists maybe worldwide! Heres a couple of videos I have found on youtube, although he has played with the biggest names around Greece and not only... believe me there are recordings and live shows with him that goes beyond reality. Plus he is a very cool down to earth man! Enjoy!

Fretless solo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Psohh...eature=related

Solo (slapping, tapping etc.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTIoE...eature=related

"Milestones" (jazz walking lines w/ fretless): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aybGf74bZ9E

Respect,
D.

There's quite a few amazing greek bass players. Here in Melbourne too. My bass instructor is Greek, he's a total monster player but is also a really cool composer arranger too. Has a knack of making the complex simple. Playing is one thing, knowing how to teach is yet another skill.

Let's not get into Greek food..........mmm
