Just wondering if they did it on purpose or not.

Besides, everybody knows that Bird Song is in Bm.

That magazine has enough problems already without making more for itself intentionally.

Are you talking about the voluminous typos, spelling and grammatical errors or the sycophantic gear reviews?

Awesome. My parents almost bought Jim Kiick's house in Fort Lauderdale about 15+ years ago. I totally forgot about that until now.

I've had a subscription for about 10 years now. Never had a single problem and I always enjoy the magazine.

I got tired of weeding through tons of ads to get to something of any substance to read. I understand that it takes a lot of money to publish a magazine but the amount of ads to articles became ridiculous.

I get infintely more good/usable/entertaining and first hand-real world gear reviews right here in one day than in 10 issues of BP.

I have a real soft spot for BP it came out the same time I started playing bass...... So I hope it gets through these tough times!

I have noticed though there are a number of USA luthiers/bass builders that advertise in the UK Bass Guitar Magazine but don't do so in BP.

I enjoy the ads too. Perfect crapper reading material. I have a magazine rack in the bathroom. MF, Music 123, GC, Bassplayer, Bowhunter, NRA mag, etc..

Dont get me wrong, I like the mag too. The point of the thread was to find out if anybody else noticed the Ox/Bird. I thought it was pretty funny.

I do think however there are way too many errors. If I can, as a reader, pick them out then they apparently arent proofreading too well before publishing. But so what? Its a minor issue. And they do tend to love every piece of gear that comes their way, but what are they supposed to do? Alienate their potential advertising partners? No way.

Yeah, I take the gear reviews with a grain of salt for sure. Really you should try any expensive gear yourself before you buy it though and they usually do list all the specs and some pros and cons.

Re: The Ox thing, I hadn't noticed.

The errors in writing mechanics bugged me, too, the last couple years. Lately it seems as if there are way fewer, though.
Glad to see that the vector is pointing in a good direction!

I prefer the Billy Ripken 1988 "F*** Face" card. More subtle.
