Gary Willis' trio, Slaughterhouse 3, finally released their cd. You can download it off of willis' site

There's a bio/review written up by Bill Milkowski on their website if you haven't heard of Slaughterhouse 3 yet

http://www.slaughterhouse3.com/

If you're a fusion fan, you gotta check this one out!!!

As far as I know the cd is an import for the US right now but is supposed to be out on Abstractlogix in a few weeks. If anybody is still having problems downloading the album, try e-mailing the e-mail address from paypal and Gary should send you a link.

This album is killer! I've been repeating Booty Duty all day. Gary is just a monster.

I ordered another cd that I discovered with Gary and Dave Weckyl here:
http://www.audiophileimports.com/cgi...ka+gary+willis

I wish there were more recordings of Willis playing standards and straight ahead. On his album, No Sweat, there's a track called Easy Street that has always left me wanting to hear more. He did record an album with Holdsworth that is mostly that genre and it's one of my favorites.
I would be down for a Gary Willis/John Scofield/Chris Potter/Adam Nussbaum collaboration...

Anybody else download Slaughterhouse 3 yet? Favorite songs?

Got the two new Willis CD's today and they are sounding great especially Actual Fiction. That is the one with Gary playing everything except the drums. Just now starting to listen to Slaughterhouse 3. What I'm heard sounds good, but liking Actual Fiction better so far.

Kind of spooky getting Slaughterhouse 3 the same day Kurt Vonnegut died.

Both CDs are fantastic. I didn't like slaughterhouse at first (what was I thinking???) but I really love it after listening a couple times.

Well, and you, out of everybody, you should be the first excited to be able to listen to your purchased music instantly instead of waiting for a CD to make it all the way to Hawaii. . . LOL.

Oh, Gary Willis, yes, fantastic.

Abstact Logix has had it for a little while now, I really dig it! Willis sounds like he might have listened to a little Squarepusher lately.
