Oscar Stagnaro is an excellent player. He is a professor at Berklee and has written The Latin Bass Book, published by Sher.

I have the book and it's one of my favorite learning tools...Oscar is a great player and also a really focused teacher!
How about Lincoln Goines? Plays on pratically all Dave Valentin's albums, and also with Paquito Rivera, Tito Puente etc...amazing musician imho.
I dig Seis Del Solar 2 albums and their two bass players, Mike Vinas and John Benitez..
Oskar Cartaya is another great, his solo album is often on my stereo, and I dig also Reuben Rodriguez...if I want to listen to some classic cuban/latin bass I'll check Carlos Del Puerto, Bobby Rodriguez and the good old Cachao Lopez...

You may want to check the credits on the d'rivera cd's,It's likely that Stagnaro is on them.

Not sure if you're also looking for samba / jazz... if positive, check Papito, from No Em Pingo Dagua:

Funny you mention his name. I used to work with one of his daughters when I lived in Atlanta.

I had found the Paco clip already. It looks like it came off a German TV broadcast.I wish I knew which one. I'd love to have the whole concert on DVD.
The other stuff I'm kind of on the fence on.I'm not a big Rap fan no matter what language it is in.
But Alain is Bad!
