A friend of mine asked me and I wasn't sure. Anybody know?

Still alive....he's only 63 so he's probably got a lot more music in him. He toured with Toto in 2008.

I read here somewhere that he wanted someone at NAMM to take a picture of him getting the finger from someone, to be used as a screensaver. Funny guy.

He is still around! My buddy Wanda and I flipped him off, much to his glee, Saturday.

Dunno which was funnier, Lee's joy at getting another flip off picture or Wanda's look when I said we had to go flip off a bass legend.

Is it time to resurrect the Lee Sklar for president thread?

Oh hell yeah! he's still around! Don't feel bad for not knowing though. He is the quintessential bassist, always there, rarely out front and noticed, but making history nonetheless.

I love working on Lee's lines in his work with James Taylor...good practice.

When questioned about how long he would like to continue playing bass Lee said (shadowing Charlton Heston's words) "They would have to pry the bass from his cold dead hands."

I think I recently saw a pic on the Sadowsky Club thread of Lee and Roger Sadowsky at NAMM.
