Anyone else here a fan of Leo Smee? He plays with the band Cathedral. I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what kind of gear he uses. Or if anyone else appreciates his grooving bass lines. He is a really solid and groovy player.

In the Hopkins music video he seems to be using a Stingray 5 and possibly an orange amp.

In this live video, he uses a (vintage?) BC Rich Eagle bass.

Awesome, it's cool to see another Smee and Cathedral fan around here. Have you heard Devil Summit? It has one of the grooviest lines i've ever heard. If you like Cathedral you should also check out Sleep, their bassist Al Cisnero is an amazing Stoner Doom player.

No idea I'm afraid, but a friend of mine is good friends with the good Mr Dorrian, I will ask them to see if I can glean some more info...

Huggy Bear, oh yeah!

Big Cathedral fan here. I even had Hopkins as my avatar here for awhile. That's got to be one of the greatest rock tunes and videos ever.

Astounding performance and sound when this band plays live. Dorrian is one of the best frontmen since David Lee Roth.

Saw the them live once, and yeah he was pretty good. I seem to remember liking the tone he had. Was playing that cream coloured ric at the time.

He also seems to be his own tech. I think he was playing some tasty licks during soundcheck too.
