Library of bassist tone descriptions

Sign in to disble this ad
I wondered if we could build a database of tone descriptions which could be "stickied" as a quick reference for people trying to approximate the tones of their favorite bass players, famous or not...all genres of music to be included...understanding that it is more the magician than the wand and that we are all on the hunt for our own sound...there is a lot of collective knowledge on this topic in various threads..it would be nice to condense it here.

This might be helpful as a starting point for those who enjoy being as true to form as possible when doing covers, etc...a simple description of basses/amps/eq settings( scooped or strong mids, etc...distorted...whatever adjectives best apply......

Any willing contributors?
