I need some suggestions on albums that feature Lincoln. I don't want to by an album for just one track. Any suggestions would be great.

There's a great couple of Dave Valentin LPs from the late 70s on GRP that have either him or Marcus Miller-The Hawk and Pied Piper. The Hawk has a great solo by Lincoln on Chick Corea's Windows, IIRC.

I like Kalahri & the Live At The Blue Note albums by Dave Valentin (Goines w/ Robbie Ammeen is always great).

Something outside the Latin vibe?

An easy one: PLAY by Mike Stern.

Probably my favorite Stern album, and Goines plays bass on every track.

I have several Paquito D'Rivera LPs and, in my opinion, "Why Not!" and "Explosion" are really hard to beat. Both featuring Lincoln Goines on bass and Michel Camilo on piano.

Robby Ameen: Days In the Life
Bill Connors: Return
And another nod for the Dave Valentin's live Blue Note recording.
Along with Jeff Andrews, Lincoln is another one of those NY cats that have been killin' for a long time and more people should know about.

+1 Guitar Player did a feature on him in the early 80s-unfortunately I've misplaced that issue.
I saw Jeff Andrews with Mike Stern and Dave Weckl-he was killin' it!

There is a disc he co-lead with drummer Kim Plainfield called Night and Day. Good stuff.

Very cool, Roy. On a similar note, I saw Mike Stern in Salt Lake City a few years back and that is where I "discovered" Lincoln Goines. What a great musician and the playing by all was top-notch.

I've always seen him in magazines and whatnot but never experienced his playing. What a night...

I'm going to look for that. Plainfield is the drummer/co-producer on the Bill Connors album I mentioned.

I'm pretty sure I have that Guitar Player...I recently moved so finding it may be an issue.

I love the stuff that Linc did with Alain Mallet and Plainfield.
