Once in a while I'll quote the bass line from the second part of "I Am The Resurrection" during a solo or jam, and "Fool's Gold" was definitely one of the funkiest British releases of the 80s. The Stone Roses were, in my opinion, never as big as they should have been in North America.
Yeah, well, in '89 when their first came out, they were a Manchester band and that music had no market in the US because it wasn't hair metal, Dinosaur Jr. or pop crap..... then when they got bigger in Europe, it was right during the grunge/metal era in the US.
