Always liked this band and loved this guy's work. Others?

Also... is he still playing anywhere?

Some really nice lines - favorite song is "Something's Always Wrong." Not so much for bass, just a great song.

Yup. Saw them twice last year. I missed them this time around this year, but Toad seems to be back in the (barely) touring market. I've always been a huge Toad fan. Glen Phillips has been putting out his solo albums over the past decade. Check out "Winter Pays for Summer". Brilliant record. Great songs, top-notch production and mixing. If you're a Toad fan, you'll love it. I always enjoyed Dean's bass lines. Nothing ground-breaking, but great bass lines.

I'd love to see them get back together full time and put out a new record. I'm sure Glen was the main songwriter, but there was something slightly magical with all of those guys together. A lot of great memories from those early days.

TTWS is my favorite band in the last 15 years. Nice melodic bass lines and great tone IMHO. Dulcinea is one of my favorite discs of all time. I never grow tired of hearing it.

Throughout the 90s I saw them just about every time they played in the area. They sound very good live. What I've heard of Glen Phillips' solo stuff I really liked too.

Without a doubt, that's my favorite TTWS song. Dean plays some solid lines on their records.

Thanks for the info on the Glen Phillips solo stuff. I'll definitely check that out.

Wow. Another cool band. I forget how great the scene was during the mid 90's.

That was the CD that turned me on to them, as well.

Hung out with them during the Pale tour, my boss had been friends with them. I've been a fan since. As far as TTWS goes, I think my favorite tune bass or otherwise is "Butterflies" off Fear.

I also dig Glen's work in "Mutual Admiration Society" with JPJ and Nickel Creek.

I thought about trying to get my band to cover "Fall Down", but it didn't quite fit our... idiom.
