Who are the bass players on Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild side"? I know there are two and I dig them both, any ideas who they might be?

Well - Herbie Flowers has made his name on being the bass player on Walk on the Wild Side - he played two bass lines - one on BG and one on Double Bass.

He lives in Brighton, my home town and plays around here regularly - mostly only on DB nowadays!

if you have seen the classic albums vid. Flowers outlines how he overdubs the 10ths so it sounds like a double stop line.
So to do it in reality take a little bit of manipulation.
Fernando Saunders was the main electric man on later albums.
Great player.

Send a message via ICQ to Sprudellio
I've heard that he was paid 13$ for recording the bassline for walk on the wild side.
