It's been awhile but if I remember correctly the first one was just Louis and his Musicman where he would do the lick in slow and at regular speed. On the second one he had a interviewer and some testimonials from George Duke and Quince Jones. The second one also had Louis playing with a band plus some footage of him with George Duke and with his own band with his brother. He also didn't have the Musicman on the second video, I'm not sure what make bass it was.

There you are not ordering the dvd from Amazon.co.uk, rather you're using their "marketplace" service, in which they place your order to another company. You're not gonna get screwed by Amazon Marketplace, I don't think, especially if you're careful about who you order from (look for positive feedback). I have ordered loads and loads of stuff from Marketplace sellers and have only had one "real" problem, in which my copy of Rush's "Hold Your Fire" was scratched and didn't work. Return and refund was not a problem.

PM me if you have any more questions.

Good to see another Geordie on TB by the way!

There are 2 reasons why Amazon say that the DVD may not work outside of the US or Canada.

Stuff from there is recorded in NTSC which is, I'm sorry guys, a low quality version of what we use here in the UK - PAL.

Try watching an old episode of Columbo or Murder She Wrote on a good flatscreen TV, compare it to a UK programme and you will see what I mean. That's why High Definition has been in the US for a few years and only recently in the UK.

If you have a decent enough DVD player and a TV that will display NTSC then you'll be fine.

The other thing is that it will be region 1 encoded and we are region 2 in Europe. Most DVD players can be region modified to play anything, some occasionally need to be 'chipped' others require an engineers remote programmed specially to unlock certain makes of DVD

Most DVD players these days are multi region, meaning they'll handle NTSC formats as well as PAL. In fact, I would have thought that these days, the majority of DVD players won't even need to be manually made to play Region 1 discs, they just automatically play them.

My Bass Extremes Live dvd is encoded in NTSC-it's only available in that format. It looks fine close up, but on the long range shots of Steve and Vic it can look a tad grainy.
