Hey I did a search and couldn't find a thread for Bass Players from da' Boot, so I thought I'd start an Official Louisiana Bass Players Club forum.

I'll assign membership numbers as people join (and request) an official membership number. Or not. Completely up to you.

Hey, just found this thread -- count me in !! Philip Braud, from Gonzales, LA. Currently reside in Sorrento, LA. I am 59 y/o - have been playing since age 15. Not currently in a band, do the occasional fill-in gig. I have owned a multitude of basses throughout the years, currently own 3 - A modified Squier Jazz Bass (Candy Apple Red), a Squier 50's Precision (Butterscotch Blond), and a Dean ABG. Amps include a Carvin BX1500, Peavey 1x15 and 2x10 cabs, and a couple of old tuck & roll Kustoms with 2x12 + 2x10 speakers (my faves). Started out playing rock and top 40, but have mostly played in horn and r&b bands the past 30 years. I also have guns and can cook a mean jambalaya, so I think that I qualify !

Awesome to meet you two here!! As we get more folks on this thread, I'll assign numbers. It'd be cool if we get enough folks so that we could schedule a few GTG's or Jam Sessions or Crawfish boils!!

So here's my info:

I'm Tiny Malone and I live in Baton Rouge, though I grew up in Shreveport. Currently I own so many basses I've lost count. But they range from $100 Azalea P-Bass to full on Custom Lowenherz that sell for around $19K. And I have everything in between.

I play a wide variety of music, from Rock to Country to Praise & Worship. I'm not in any bands right now. I do fill in work for two well known Country bands when needed and a bit of Studio work for a few others.

I'm a JEEP driving coonass, I am a certified gun nut (kinda like my bass collection, my gun collection is a library!), and my momma makes a mean étouffée!!
