Bassist Donald "Ean" Evans of the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd has died of cancer at his home in Mississippi. Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant says Evans died Wednesday. He was 48. |

Saw them in August. Wasn't a great show, but I'd bet they'd rock if they came up with some new material.
Leon Wilkeson died in 2002 IIRC

RIP Ean......... | Gary is the only original memeber IN the band. Ed King (guitar, wrote Sweet Home Alabama), Bob Burns (drums), and Artimus Pyle (Drums) are three original members still alive but not in the band.
