Here's a cool video of McCartney on Bill Blacks upright. He gives us a short rendition of 'Heartbreak Hotel' and does a commendable job of sounding like Elvis. Paul didn't actually buy Bill Black's bass. It was a gift from Linda, who I believe bought it from Black's widow in the mid-70s. He has used it on numerous recordings in the last 35 years.

*AND* it's still strung for a right hander! So just like the old movie showed, he was so talented and able to pickup a righty instrument, flip it over and play it at will.
