I don't know Madina Lake, but what a sad story. You've got to live your life like the axiom "No good deed goes unpunished" is a bunch of BS, but sometimes the people with the best intentions pay the highest cost for doing the right thing.

We don't know if Matthew's judgment was impaired. One article I read said that he was on his way to get a drink when he witnessed the assault.

I'd also like to know if the woman is going to press charges.

F****** sad situation that happens all to often.

I'm pretty sure no one said anything bad about Matthew's morals, most people seem to be pretty much behind him on this one.

Also, whether he was impaired or not, he stepped in to help that poor woman and was repaid with a swollen brain. Not cool, man, not cool .
