Anybody on here heard the saves the day album, sound the alarms that came out of the summer. I just love the tone Manny get out of his bass, and his lines are so smooth and nice too, he was in glassjaw for a while to. Just wanted to see if anyone knows him, or heard the record. Just out Saves The Day's myspace for the songs off sound the alarms if you want to hear what i'm talking about. I just think its awesome.

yea the voice change took some time getting used to but i picked up the bug sessions demo before sound the alarm came out and he sounds like he does on that. But yea shattered has a nice line and so does dones, but i cant get out his tone, like i couldnt sound like that but for the record i think its perfect.

Saves the Day is pretty good, but I see him as more a part of Glassjaw than anything else. The only reason he wasn't on the Worship and Tribute album was because the record label kicked him out because he had conflicts with the touring schedule. I am sure he feels the same, since he quit Saves the Day to focus on GJ.

Topping this thread to say that his tone on "Shattered" is absolutely impeccable. It's grinds so nice and almost seems to be breathing in a way. He has the same tone on "Bones". It just KILLS.

I know he plays a PJ Deluxe into an SVT 3-pro through an Ampeg 810. I know that there are things done by engineers to create tones and grinds like this, but I'd love to find a way to achieve this sound withing recording magic.
