Just saw Louis Cato post on FB that they are all ok, but the bus driver died.

Thoughts and prayers out to the family of the driver and speedy recovery for the MM crew

I had just read this. I am glad that Marcus Miller and his band were not seriously hurt, but my prayers go out to the busdriver's family since the poor man died.

I also noticed that the article listed Miller as a keyboardist and bass clarinetist ahead of his bass playing! I guess a story like this puts into perspective how well known even the most famous bassist is.

although no one was seriously injured please pause for a moment and pray for them and the driver who lost his life,and thank our Lord they are ok...

According to his facebook account, the driver was killed in the accident - but everyone else made it out with only minor injuries.

This is from guitarist Adam Agati's Facebook page (via Sal Agati):
"Alicia and I both spoke to Adam. He is doing well, a little bruised up but otherwise ok. He staying overnight in the hospital for observation just to be safe. The other band members are doing well too and most have been released. We are really sorry for the loss of the bus driver and we send our sympathies to the family. We are eternally grateful that the band is ok and Adam is safe. Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes. Sal"

Yikes, glad the band is okay (R.I.P. anonymous bus driver).

There are several threads started a couple of hours ago. There doesn't seem to be much information being released yet other than that the driver died. Its amazing that nobody else was killed.

Reminds me of cliff burton's accident. May Marcus and the people involved have a quick recovery.

My prayers today include Marcus Miller. I am so sad this happened. He has been a huge influence of mine for years, since 1974 or 75. I didn't know he is 2 years younger than me ??!!

He was a monstrous bass player in his teens, because I was 16 or 17 when I first started listening to him. Flora Purim was one of the 1st I think.

Anyway, I pray to God that he will recover quickly along with his band. Prayers also to those who were lost.

Strange... I was just watching his Frankfurt concert on TV just before and then I started up the Computer and saw the News.
