I used to listen to the ska band Madness a lot before I started bass.
Now recently I have been listening very much to them and damn, Mark Bedford has some excellent bass lines.
The bass always seems to be very noticable in the mix and it really drives many of their songs forward. One step beyond, Baggy Trousers, Night Boat to Cairo, House of fun etc. etc.
Really tight and fun bass playing there!

Personal fave must be 'House Of Fun'..... great stuff!

Quite hard when you're trying to "dance" (those quote marks are definitely ironic) in the required Nutty Boys manner.
