Mark Egan's gear?

Sign in to disble this ad
I did search here & googled but couldn't find anything specific about Mark Egan's setup. We all(should )know he plays Pedulla Buzz basses w/D'Addario nickel rounds & that the vast majority of his awesome tone is in his hands. But I'm curious as to his live rig & in particular his recording methods & equipment. Anyone?

From the liner notes of his latest album[great BTW]: Pedulla basses, D' Addario Strings, Eden electronics, Radial Direct boxes, Microtec-Gefell mikes, N.S., Design, Telex, Electro-voice mikes, Allesandro High End audio, Cort, Planet Waves, ADK mikes, A.R.T., Presonus, Line 6 and Digidesign Protools.

I'm pretty sure Mark has his own studio. For what it's worth, I've seen him a bunch and a lot of times with just the backline supplied and maybe a couple of his own delays, he always sounded great!

I saw Mark play at a small jazz club in RI with Larry Coryell and Paul Wertico. Of course, they killed! Mark had a green Pentabuzz going through an Eden amp (not sure which model) powering just a couple of 1X10's. He sounded great and was amazing to watch. If you haven't already seen it, you can visit Mark's web site at www.markegan.com

cheers,
Kevin

Well alright

But what brand of fingernail clipper does the man use? J/K- thank you, Jerry- that was very complete(gotta love TB). Again, I imagine he could make a defretted Hohner through a crackly Peavey PA sound sweet, but it's informative to know what he actually does use. Thanks also to you, kobass- I happen to play through an Eden WT-400 & Bag End S-15X-D; before that I had a CXC-110(essentially a WT-330 & small 1x10)& CX-110 ext cab. Definitely nice, but it(I)don't sound nuthin' like the man... I have plucked a Pedull Pentabuzz though, & those basses do practically play themselves.
