I know he plays a lot of fretless with a PJ set up

+1, I've seen him a bunch, even in a small club he had a rack of delays. I'm a longtime fan of Mark's work!

he also uses roundwound strings on a finished fretless neck and i think that has a lot to do with his fretless sound.

btw he used my amp at the evolve festival this summer. he played with bernie worrell and a couple of other guys and kicked ass
