I was just checkin' some of his clips on youtube.The dude sounds straight nasty doesn't he?And he uses pretty light strings right?

Yes, he is undoubtedly one of my favourite players. Just an absolute monster of both slap and fingerstyle. A total innovator, I'd say, he blows me away!

And yes, he uses .30 gauge strings. Before I started using Fodera Stainless Steel .40's, I was using .30's. Pretty funky!

I think they might be .40-.100, something nice and light!

I've got a think for slap-tastic basses, just like Mark. I mean, I've got the old Kubicki, and I might just have to pick up a Kingbass one day.

Mark King

Certainly Mark King is one of the few bassists who can play slap bass and use it in a way that is simply amazing!
