Mark used the 5 string for a couple of songs on the Guaranteed tour, but other than that, you'll be hard pressed to find any evidence of him ever having used a 5 string live. He apparently prefers the easy playability of 4 strings. |

He used a MM S'Ray 5 in the studio for a lot of stuff that would go below low D (which he tuned his E string to).
He's quoted someplace that he thought MM basses were some of the best recorded.
