Ummmmmm..... I watched some YOU TUBE video of Mark King maybe 20 years ago and was really surprised that he was doing, then, much of what Wooten does now!
Any comments? |

You can hear Stanley Clarke, Abe Laboriel, Marcus Miller, Jaco, Doug Rauch, and Stu Hamm in Vic's playing too.

And even then, its of doubtful utility. Most of these disscussions are jsut like schoolyard kids saying, " Johnny's better than Clive ", and then you line up with whichever is more your friend.
Which proves?
Yup. Nada.
Anyway, Vics chops are beyond touch. Mike is a super awesome bassist and stellar performer.
I like ME better, since its the only guy whose playing I can directly influence. simple logic, eh?
And I'll take a little Mark and a little Victor in my vitamin mix!

| | | | The thing is, Victor was doing 20 years ago(and more) what he is doing now. Vic has been with the Flecktones for 20 years and he was playing this way long before that. And these threads are pointless. |

I didn't realize that "comparisons" question/comments were off limits.
Somebody warned me early on about this. I should have listened
