He also plays a Jazz V, notably on the song The Lotus Eater, and uses the Boss GT-10B.

He uses the Boss for distortion, like in "The Grand Conjuration."

I love Martin Mendez's playing with Opeth. Anyone check out Opeth's live DVD, "Lamentations?" I watched it today (on Netflix). Incredible concert - they play two sets. One of the more mellow stuff with clean vocals, and a 2nd set featuring the heavier stuff.

Tonight I heard the song The Lines In My Hand off their latest album Heritage. When the bass kicks in it's truly killer tone with some interesting Eastern Indian influence on the notes.

I've never heard a bass doing Indian type notes, and I'm learning to play them tonight, pretty cool stuff.
