I hope all you know who he is!?!?! If not, he is the bass player for Rancid and Operation Ivy. I was just wondering what kind of stuff he plays(heads, cabs basses).
One thing I'm not sure of: My friend told me he uses a frettless, and plays with a pick, and also uses his other free fingers during solos? I just wanna know more about him, I think he is a great player...thanks

I know Matt used to play a Ibanez basses (I can't remember the model name but I do know they are discontinued) and the last time I saw him play he was using a white Fender P with a tort pick guard. As for amps, not a clue.

in this interview he says he uses a pbass for his recordings, and from what ive seen he plays with a pick. Also his action is ridiculously high according to him

his main bass was an old 70's P bass, that he has now retired because it's too special to screw up. he also has an older Jazz, but live he's been playing a newer Geddy Lee Jazz. and ampeg stacks of course. and he does use a pick. and yes, he kicks mega a$$.

He also used to use GK amps with ampeg cabs, but has since changed to SVTs.
