Had to dredge this thread up from the stone ages when I was looking for some info on him. The guy was a fantastic Ska bassist (probably the best I've heard). The Toasters have a new lineup every year it seems but I always go back to Don't Let the Bastards Grind You down as their best bass album (out of like 15 different Toasters albums or something). I listened to that album for a month straight and it's probably the reason I'm a Ska bassist.

Me too.. i played guitar before but when i once listen to The Toasters live in London.. I felt in love with Matt´s style of bass playing to ska...
