McCartney has a mean thumb going at full speed on this one.

Question: Would it have been the same damn classic song with fingers style?

What you see is not what you hear. This is not a live performance.

Here's a tricky one: Would it have been the same damn classic song with the best bass for metal, brightest flats, finger technique of Steve Harris and the bass tone of Hysteria?

Would it have been the same damn classic song if it was another song?

That's because this is not a live performance. TV magic my friends. His pick tone is quite clear in the audio and if it was actually a live performance you would hear a lot less of The Beatles and a lot more of the screaming girls. Plus it would most likely be much faster.
