This is very sad indeed.
Life is precious, my thoughts are with Adrian and his family at this rough time.

He was SO thin back then that I only recognized him by his beloved white Nordstrand Superjazz bass. I am currently having a LeCompte bass built in white with Nordstrand pickups in his honor. He is a great man and a great player - I will try to get word to him about this thread so he can hear our kind words.

| | | | Bless you, Bro, and your family.
You've touched us all with your generosity of spirit, and demonstrated what true grace & courage is. Amazingly, you've done this under the most difficult of circumstances, yet still maintained your enthusiasm and joy of life.
Gently into your journey with all our love, Adrian.
You're very special to all of us. God's Peace. |

He touched so many people, many of whom he never even met or talked to, simply by his sheer and humble presence on TalkBass. His attitude and his outlook, before and during this illness are and were like life lessons. Rarely have I seen someone garner so much respect from so many on the Internet.
I pray for him and his family. May God be with them all at this time.

You've touched a lot of people, Adrian. You're a wealthy man.

As a rule I do not like salespeople, especially in music stores - he was completely different. "Stand up guy" was an understatment. Based on everything I've been able to find on him, I'm pretty sure this was him. I only talked to him for a few minutes, but as you can see he made quite the impression.
For what it's worth, I too am sorry to hear this. This is the life of a talented individual cut far too short. |

I enjoyed following his endless G.A.S. while searching for the ultimate 5-string Jazz bass. .. Nordy, MIA Deluxe, Lull, F-Bass?
Not to mention he's an amazing bassist.

But we did talk alot as I was getting ready to move and he was the first dealer I ever had . He helped Skjold Design Guitars very much with his insights and suggestions . The talks on the phone were always hours long . He is a gracious human being and I will miss his presence physically but I know his legacy and energy will live on in all who knew him . I pray for his comfort and peace for the family .
I love ya Bro !
Pete
