Today is two years since my respected friend Adrian left the earthly world. I am forever in your debt Adrian for the things you taught me about life, peace, acceptance and so much more. May you rest in peace and rejoice in your heavenly loft my friend! Gary

The silver lining, if you can call it that, is you are in a far better place than us, free from pain and suffering, in a place without tears. Thank you for being my friend, I am blessed to have known you. You made a positive difference down here, that's for certain! |

As you look down upon all of those you left behind. I sure hope I make you proud that you are my brother and friend.
God bless you Adrian

I can only comment on the wonderful humanity and grace that the TBers showed to a fallen brother.
Just reading this thread made me tear up.
What a wonderful community. I'm so glad I joined.
Though I did not know you Adrian, may you RIP. |

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I got a white Squier Jazz 5 Deluxe, and tweaked it slightly. I put in Nordstrand Fat Stacks, and an Aguilar OBP-3. Now it sounds a lot like a cross between a Nordy and a Sadowsky. Adrian knew of it, but never got to play it or hear it. So it's my tribute to a great friend, and a great bassist. |

I miss you man!! | I have my Nordstrand bass in my hands as this came in. I am rehearsing and making charts for a gig I am subbing on this weekend. ....So I was thinking about Adrian too, My Nordstrand Neck plate reads: In memory of Adrian Garcia, 1958-2008
Still nothing but love. What a huge loss. I could use a talk with Adrian right about now. Need his calm, peaceful spiritual assurance. ..So thanks for posting Dre. This serves as notice that Adrian still touches us and that he not only made a difference, ....he STILL "makes" a difference. What a blessing to have known him. Gary

I saw a "in memory of Adrian" in a TBers signature and immediately had a sinking feeling in my stomach, and searched out this thread.
I didn't have nearly the relationship with Adrian that many of you did, but when I first became active on TB years ago, I was struck with how much respect this "Adrian Garcia" guy was getting, and it didn't take long (reading a few of his posts) to see why. He struck all of us as a wonderful person and somebody who made everybody's day a little better, even someone who just bumped into him here or there on an Internet forum (like me). I always enjoyed bumping into his posts because there was something about him that just made your day a little brighter. I can vividly remember thinking how much I respect a person with the kind of attitude he seemed to have, and how much I wish I had many of those seemingly simple, yet incredibly elusive qualities myself.
I would say he will be missed, but this thread is a big testament to that fact. I only regret that I wasn't fortunate enough to know him better, and I also regret that I wasn't around during this to add to the incredible level of support he was getting during his tough times. Best wishes to his family.

I know this is a sticky at the top of the forum and should always remain as such for the life of TB IMO.
Going through and reading some of the posts, I came ascorr Carey's who posted the news of his passing.
It still leaves a lump in my throat.
What a beautiful person Adrian was.

We really miss you down here, you know...but I trust we'll eventually meet, and hang, play bass together, etc...still have your 210Neo cab. I don't play it out, because I don't want anything to happen to it, but it's a sweet cab nonetheless, and I use it at home for practicing in my room. It will never leave my possession...
Almost 4 years since you left us, and I think of you often. I miss our long talks, they are always valuable to me. I kind of "replay" them in my head sometimes. Miss you, bro... |
