Steve Digiorgio is the man. These videos were not his best stuff and not representative of him at all.

One of his side-project Dark Hall is absolutely awesome, you can download their first album/EP on their website as they called it quit.

It shows that he is extremely versatile and creative.

+50 for Steve, Definently in my top 5 most influential metal bassists.

And about the 'not limiting yourself to one style' comment.. If someone likes country music and they play an instrument they are going to want someone to look up to.. they may still love Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorious, Stevie Wonder, Geddy Lee, Victor Wooten etc etc etc etc. Not only that fretless instruments combined with metal make a super rare combination. Oh, and welcome to Talk Bass, Sir.
