| | | | Michael Cera playing bass (in an actual band) Thought this might be interesting to some of you... http://www.avclub.com/austin/article...michael,48469/ Quote: Islands/Man Man/Modest Mouse supergroup, plus Michael Cera—why not?
Currently making making its inaugural round of tour dates opening for Passion Pit, “doom-wop” supergroup Mister Heavenly—featuring Islands’ Nick Thorburn, Man Man’s Honus Honus, and Modest Mouse’s Joe Plummer—surprised fans in Seattle last night by introducing its fourth member: bassist Michael Cera. The Stranger has pictures of America’s favorite/least favorite man-child onstage, while Pitchfork notes that Cera will join the band for at least the remainder of its West Coast dates. The A.V. Club is waiting to hear back from Mister Heavenly’s label, Sub Pop, to see if that means Cera will be onboard for the band’s Dec. 13 gig at the Scoot Inn as well. (UPDATE: According to our source at Sub Pop, he will be in Austin. Now he just has to refrain from pulling a Scott Pilgrim and busting his bass over the head of a robot or something.)

Actors think that they are musicians.
So it has long been.

A little hard to tell from the videos, but he sounds alright. Doesn't seem like there's anything too complicated going on in the songs | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
