Mike Gordon, or Ever find yourself sounding like someone you've never really heard?

I somehow went until about 6 months ago without ever having heard Phish. What do you know, they're pretty good! I'm still not totally sold on the the really long jams, but I'm quite digging their playing within the "normal" songs.

Anywho....upon a closer listening I'm finding a lot of stylistic similarities between my playing and Mike Gordon's, which is odd not being a jam guy and having never really heard him play before. I'd guess it's a case of shared influences. I know he's a big Phil Lesh guy, which is another guy whose playing I haven't really dug into.

Anyone else ever have this happen to them with another player?
