Mike Watt Interview

I got the chance of a life time to interview Mike Watt for Gibsonbass.com

Found here- http://www.gibsonbass.com/mikewatt.php

He's a great bass player, a great guy and a personal bass inspiration. It was great that the site Owner (Jules) asked me to do the interview and Mike Watt for being so gracious to give it along with all the info on his gear.

He love's his Gibby basses.

Mike

What I found intersting is his work with Kelly Clarkson. He brought some of his basses and they loved the tone of his blue Non reverse and ended up having him play on 5-6 tracks, more than they expected him to do.

They liked the way his bass sounded so much they had him overdubb some of the other bass parts already recorded, that were typical modern sounding basses/synth bass.

Vintage basses still have a place.

You did an excellent job bringing out the real Watt.
