Did anybody see the induction ceremony last night? I read Iggy and the Stooges were performing for Madonna and since Watt is playing with them.....
Any video?
Thanks. |

If not for his record sales/popularity, then for the countless other people he has influenced (that untalented goof Flea lists him as an influence and I'm sure HE'LL get in).
I don't think he is eligible yet, anyway. The Minutemen are eligible, but of course, the rock and roll hall of fame is a joke. |

I'd say they're mainly in it because of their influence. I'll admit that the process isn't perfect, but I also realize that they'll never make everyone happy.

Flea will get in because he has more talent in forgotten demo recordings than you probably will ever have- not to mention that he plays in a cool band that millions love. Dont rip on Flea to make a point- it makes you look ignorant |

He's local for me so I get to check out Banyan with hims and Perkins on drums. Actually, Hellride too, which is him, perkins and the guitarist from Porno's playing Stooges songs. Punk rock jamming. Watt should be inducted into the Hall of Fame for the amount talent he possesses and how humbly he displays it. For craps sake, the dude still lugs his own gear in an out of every gig I've seen him play in.
I thought they had to have been around playing in the same format for 25 years or something like that. The Minutemen are not playing anymore. Neither if Firehose. Red Hot's however are playing. They don't induct players, they induct acts, so Flea would get in with Red Hots. |

"Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria include the influence and significance of the artists’ contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll." |
