My band rehearses around there (Thursdays, typically) and often goes there afterward. What kind of music? The place seems well set up for things on the quieter side.
I may look you up for lessons. What you specialize in is largely what I want to get better at.

I had the volume down very low and the tone on the amp full treble. Not sure how it sounded but that is what the music director wanted. The wifey said it sounded fine.
I just had to share.

Anyways, I don't have much for you to see, but I do recommend a jucy Lucy from Matt's in south Minneapolis. If someone tells you the 5-4 club has the better one, punch them in the nose. |

OK, I'm just kidding (although you do mean the 5-8 Club). Matt's is awesome. 35th St. and Cedar Ave. in beautiful south Minneapolis.

Added: As long as you're on south Cedar, Fat Lorenzo's is some pretty awesome pizza.

I am looking for lesson recommendations, in the south metro... I know my scales and have been playing for 25 years but want to continue learning different techniques, especially related to thumb and slap... any ideas or recommendations for someone?
Thanks! |

From the get togethers, there are a fair number of good players around. I don't know if they teach. Actually, Rumbl teaches for sure, McNally Smith. Other players that really impressed me are Kenner, Bass Mule, Andy McClure and MN Air Head. This is not to diminish any of the other players, these are just the guys that I noticed.
Post your queries to the thread above and you'll get better response.

I played in High School. Sold my gear because my hobbies switched. Picked up some stuff a few years ago. Kind plinked around for a bit, now I'm wanting to get into the groove again. Seems I've lost most of what I've learned, time to start over again I guess. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
