Morbid Curiousity..........

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw Billy Idol at the Stone Pony last week and was curious if anyone knows who his bass player is? Don't think he's a hired gun becuase he was also on VH1 storytellers with Billy. I tried to search but came up blank. Can anyone help me? Thanks

There's only one left-handed bassist that looks like that. I can't prove that it's him, but only by what he looks like and plays (left-handed) like and that's Jimmy Haslip.

Most notable is his playing with The Yellowjackets.
Best recording I've heard him on is Jing Chi, a 3-piece band with Robben Ford and Vinnie Colaiuta. Amazing CD.

Ok, check this name out Steve McGrath, who played with Billy Idol during that time and also in a band with Idol, Steve Stevens, and Derek Sherinian.

It's him............

Ok, now Thanx again. It is deff him, apparently I don't think he's played in any commercial bands in the past. From what I was able to find out, Billy met him while riding his bike, so he's probably one of his motorcycle buddies. The one thing I read, said that Steve and Billy went around to biker bars and just played on off nights and such.

Thanx again man..............
