Wait till it gets going a bit, and listen to how AJ plays

Awesome- AJ's always been the man. Before it reached the 2:20 mark, I thought to myself, "Isn't this a bit downtempo?" I've always loved that bassline- did he play on the original? It's slapped at the end portion, so I didn't think it was

EDIT: just looked it up and it was Marcus on the original.

Of course, it's great how both AJ and MM leave an equally hip and unique footprint on everything they play.

I love when it gets a bit more uptempo and AJ is just all over the fretboard, tasteful as he always is.

there's a couple of other clips from that performance floating around YouTube. Back in the day, it seems Anthony only needed four strings as well

AJ w/Michel Camile

Love the AJ/Tee/Gadd combo. I think 1981 is around the same time that that same rhythm section played the Simon & Garfunkel Live in Central Park show. Lots of great playing there, too.

Here's another AJ clip. This one's an interesting contrast from the Grover Washington clip. Kind of a "that was then, this is now" moment. AJ still gets it done:

Its great seeing and hearing the history of AJ 4 string to the 6 string . It doesn't matter he plays both so well and tastefull. He is my all time favorite.
